Moments

Life is a series of moments that we pass through second to second, most of us without the luxury of comfort or free will.
I know, I know what you're thinking, "I have free will"! To think otherwise goes against everything you are taught as Catholics and as Americans. To this I say "weeeeeellll".
(Thank you David Tennant)

There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves faced with decidions; afraid, confused, without a roadmap. The choices we make in those moments will define who we are. The consequenses of those decisions folliow us for the rest of our lives. Of course, when faced with the unknown, most of us prefer to turn around and go back, to run. But once in a while, rare though it may be, people push onto something better. Something found just beyond the pain of going it alone, and just on the light side of bravery and courage. There we find strength. The strength it takes to let someone in, or to give someone a second chance. Something beyond the quiet persistence of a dream. Because it's only when you're tested that you discover who you truly are. And it's only when you're tested that you discover who you can be.

Free will comes at a cost to us. I do not mean to sound negative or of two minds here. Although, I have never been accused of being overly optimistic I am a self proclaimed realist.

I believe that the person you want to be does exist, somewhere on the other side of hard work, faith, devotion and belief. That person lives beyond all the heartached and fear of not knowing just what lies ahead.

Sometimes it's easier to feel like you're the only one in the world who's struggling, who's frustrated, unsatisfied or barely getting by, but that feeling is false. If you just hold on, just find the innet will to face it all another day, just one more day, someone or something will find you and make it all ok. A hero in the dark. A phoenix from the proverbial ashes will rise from the flames and that hero will surely save the day.

There is nothing wrong with faith. To believe in the amazing is not a chatacter flaw. Our present reality is built upon the aspirations of dreamers who never gave up. In fact I like to believe it's the people with the best dreams who succeed in finding a way to make those dreams a reality, however eventual it may be.

We all need a little help sometimes. Something or Someone to help us hear the music in the world. To remind us it won't always be so damn hard as we strain to grasp the things we desire, the things we think will make our life better. Money, fame, luquidity. We tend to ignofe or forget the things that truly matter. The simple things like friendship, family, love and hard work. The things that we should hold onto when we are broken. The things we probably already had.

So why are so many people suffering?
What is the truth, the solution to set us free? Well, this is the latest moment in time that it has ever been. It's tike to wake up and see that the FORREST IS THE TREES. Take your blinders off.
This world is an illusion, yet it is real enough. Photons and light dancing around a construct of sensory input data. Interperated indifferently to each of us. When you feel as if you have lost the ability to dream jusy remember that all you see and all you experience is nothing but a dream. A dream the Universe had long ago about being a person. We are the remnant sensory interpritation of a long forgotten dream.

Scoffs... Even the infinite strives for more.
